YDAN – Launch Campaign

The Youth Disability Advocacy Network (YDAN) invites you to our free campaign launch event on Saturday 14 February!
This campaign is led and co-designed by young people (12-25) with Disability. Directed by Disabled-led Bus Stop Films, it directly challenges the assumptions that shape our systems.
We are capable, not courageous. We are skilled, not special. We exist. Deal with it.

Event Overview
The afternoon opens with a vibrant Welcome to Country by local young people, followed by an address from YDAN CEO Isabella Choate.
The event includes the campaign video premiere, guest remarks from Senator Jordon Steele-John, a Q&A panel with the young people behind the campaign, afternoon tea, and networking.
Access & Community Care
The venue is fully wheelchair accessible with ramp entry throughout and accessible toilets. Auslan interpreters, a dedicated quiet sensory space, masks and sanitiser will be available.
