Blind Citizens WA – First Aid Training

Blind Citizens WA are pleased to offer you First Aid training that is specially designed for people who are blind, vision Impaired and Deafblind.
This training is also a collaboration of Blind Citizens WA, Blind Sports WA and Deafblind WA.
Please send an email to bcwa@westnet.com.au with all the requested information no later than Thursday 10 November 2022.
When: Friday 18 November from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Where: Claisebrook Lotteries House, 33 Moore St, East Perth – about 5 minutes walk from McIver train station.
Several parking spots may be available behind the building.
There is also a paid Council car park on Royal St but it’s about a 5 minute walk from the venue.
Cost: $20.00 per person for catering.
Support workers must also pay if they would like to eat the food supplied.
Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.

Access Needs
- We will have 2 Auslan interpreters on the day.
- We have NOT been able to book a tactile interpreter as there was none available, but please feel free to organise your own interpreter if you need one.
- A BCWA member who has done this training with AWFA has informed us that the online training is accessible for screen reader users.

E-Learning Assessment
AWFA says: “Students must complete and submit their e-Learning Assessment before 11:59pm (AEST) – that’s 9:00 pm Perth time – the night before the course. Students who are unable to do so will not be permitted entry to face-to-face training.”
Access to the e-Learning Assessment and First Aid eBook will be emailed to you directly by AWFA, upon enrolment.
