COVID Information: Prepare a COVID Kit

COVID Information: Prepare a COVID Kit

With the spread of COVID rising in Perth, if you do receive a positive COVID result it is a good idea to have a COVID-ready Kit at home.

Even if you receive a positive test but feel well, you will still have to isolate for a few days.

Here’s how to prepare a COVID-ready Kit for managing your symptoms – and your boredom.

Check List:

  • Thermometer: Monitor your body temperature. A Fever is a temperature of 38°C or higher, which can be symptom of COVID.
  • Pain relief Medicine: Paracetamol or ibuprofen, can help with your fever.
  • Your usual medication: have a week’s supply of your prescription medication.
  • Treatment for dehydration: some people experience vomiting or diarrhoea, which can make you dehydrated. So have some oral hydration solutions or drink plenty of water.
  • Disposable surgical masks: if you’re isolating at home with other people, everyone should wear a mask when in the same room.
  • Hand sanitiser and soap: good handwashing helps prevent the spread of germs.
  • Cleaning products and disposable gloves: COVID can survive on frequently touched surfaces, such as doorknobs, light switches, and remote controls. Make sure you have enough disinfectant products to use for the week. Use the disposable gloves when cleaning, dispose of the properly and wash your hands after.
  • Activities: have some games, crafts, movies prepared.
