DESCRIPTION:DEAFBLIND AWARENESS WEEK 2024\nDeafblind West Australians are inviting you to join us to celebrate Deafblind Awareness Week\, 2024.\n\n\nDBAW is celebrated internationally each year to coincide with Helen Keller’s birthday.\n\n\nPlease join us to celebrate\, EVERYONE is welcome !\n\n\nEvent: Deafblind Awareness Week 2024\nWhere: The Rise Community Centre 28 Eighth Ave\, Maylands\nWhen: 19th June\, 2024\nTime: 1.00pm – 3.00pm Doors open 12.30pm\n\n\nProgram will include:\nAn Art Installation\, designed and made by people who are deafblind for Deafblind International event to raise deafblind awareness hashtag #DbIYarnBombing2024\nLaunch of the Deafblind West Australians History Project with presentations by people who were/are pivotal to the development of peer support for people who are deafblind and their families in WA\nPresentations on successful community connections.\nOrganisations who support inclusion and inclusive practices for deafblind\n\n\nAfternoon Tea will be provided.\nAuslan interpreters on site.\n\n\nWe welcome everyone: deafblind\, vision impaired\, Deaf\, HOH\, people with single/dual sensory loss\, aged\, family\, friends\, students\, volunteers\, service providers\, educators\, health care\, government etc. Along with: individuals\, groups and organisations from the broader community wanting to learn\, understand and be inclusive of our unique community\n\n\nPlease register by 12th of June: [karenwickhamgrey@gmail.com]\nAll enquires contact Karen Wickham Grey Mobile: 0424 900 788
